Running a multi-day festival

Plan passes, schedules, staffing and operations for events that run over two or more days.

Passes and pricing

Offer full-festival passes and single-day tickets. Price the full pass so it's clearly better value than buying days separately.

Schedule

Publish the schedule early, even if some slots are 'to be announced'. Put the strongest acts on different days so every day sells.

Entry and re-entry

Decide whether passes allow re-entry and how. Wristbands plus QR passes work well for multi-day events.

Staffing across days

Plan shifts so no one works every day end to end. Brief each day's team in the morning.

Operations

Overnight security, power, waste management, toilets and weather plans matter far more than at a one-evening show. Walk the site at the end of each day.

Communicate daily

Send ticket holders a short message each morning: today's highlights, gate times and anything that changed.
